Our story
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN...
Somewhere in the North of Mauritius, close to the sea, Benoit De Robillard was dreaming about launching his own brand of locally made swimming suits.
He had been working in the textile industry for 25 years when he decided to take the plunge and set up his own business, AQUA Swimwear, in 2012. He was later joined, in 2015, by his daughter Lisa De Robillard, graduate in marketing and management.
AQUA is a 100% Mauritian brand of men, women and kids’ swimwear, designed and manufactured locally.
Throughout the years, we’ve upgraded our product range with new designs and materials, so we could offer comfy quality swimwear.
OUR PRODUCTS
AQUA Swimwear is appreciated for its high-quality quick dry fabrics, combined with tastefully selected colours and trendy prints. Inspired by nature, sea life and what’s currently trending, our products are lively and colourful.
Everybody can find what they’re looking for, whether to wear on the beach or the boat, even for a cosy supper by the pool. No matter your mood or the chosen occasion, our swimwear is perfect to live the island life!
Our men’s swimming trunks range from classic to long and slim fit. Father and son can even choose matching swimming shorts in all kinds of colours and prints. In 2016, we launched a “limited edition” collection for clients in search of exclusive models, with only 10 items per design. We’ve also added an elegant and trendy long sleeve linen cotton shirt to our men’s clothing line, choosing vibrant colours to match your swimwear and complete your summer outfit.
The year 2018 shined for the development of our women’s clothing line! Our comfy casual beach kaftans, made from a light fabric, came first – they’re the ideal piece of clothing for our tropical weather. They were soon followed by our chic sustainable bikinis and swimsuits, made from ECONYL regenerated nylon and recycled polyester. All our swimming suits are designed with simplicity. They’re easily adjustable, elegant, with a feminine cut adapted to all morphologies. Our bathing suits also have inside lining made from the self-fabric, making them both solid and more comfortable!
Our kiddies’ swimming trunks and anti-UV rash vests are specially designed to protect children’s sensitive skin while they’re playing under our hot Mauritian sun. Father and son can even choose matching swimming shorts in all kinds of colours and prints.
